Do you think that if everyone says something is true and no one questions it then you will be more likely to agree with what everyone says vs what your eyes see? I’m not even talking about religion, although I think that falls into that category. Not even something that falls into the “wish fulfillment” category. And, if someone shows you that what everyone says is true is not do you think your mind will rebel and fight to protect what you’ve always believed? No? Case in point: What are the three colors of a stop light? Duh! Everyone knows they are green, yellow, and red! But are they really? Next time you’re at a stop light look at it closely. Is the yellow light really yellow? No, it’s classified as Amber which is the color of a pumpkin. Closer to orange really. People laugh at me for calling it an orange light. What’s the point of this question? Merely to show that it’s possible that there are circumstances where our mind will prefer to block out the truck in order to fit in with the herd. Thoughts?
