Need help picking a deck level on RC Mariner of the Seas cruise?

We want a balcony room for our 7 night mexico cruise, but im a bit confused as to what would be a deck level and weather we want front, back or middle. I of course want…

minimal hallway traffic (how would I know what areas are popular…the elevators? what about the promenade?)

no obstructed views (like life boats, which i can’t see on the deck plan map)

private balcony (nobody able to see from above)

minimal engine noise ( I assume the back of the ship would be louder)

maybe big enough to layout on the balcony (is 46 sq ft big enough?) I know the corner rooms have bigger balconies, but the back has the engine and the front is more expensive….right?

and if I want sunset views on the way there (from LA to Mexico) I would want a room the the right side of the ship….right?

Im also confused about the pricing…I heard that pricing is determined by where on the ship you have a room, but then what is the posted $720 per person for a balcony room? it must go up depending on the level you are on…right? how do i know the actual price of the room before I book?

I find the deck plans on RC’s websites confusing, and since I have never cruised before I have no idea how to find what im looking for.

Crunches question: I want the mother of all abs!?

Well first off, ill start by saying that i already have abs and you can see the ’6-pack’ as i also have little fat. However, i wanna bring it up to the next level, yknow, the type you’d see on underwear box models ?

First off, will crunches do this for me ? Whats a good # of rep ? I get sorta pissed being able to do so many. All these while ive been doing tons of sit ups, but i hear crunches are more effective. So i tried it, but i felt like some turtle on its back, and strained my neck too.

Secondly, they say it only trains the upper abs ? Definitely i wanna train the whole thing so info is much appreciated!
Um..i have no fat problem, i just need to build it up

HELP! Just some little algebra problem I can’t figure out today.?

Here it is: A model rocket is fired straight up from groung level with an initial velocity of 100ft per second. the height “h” of the rocket after “t” seconds in flight if given by h=-16t(squared) + 100t.
(a) rewrite the equation for h by factoring the right hand side if the equation above.
(b)At what times ‘t’ will the rocket be on the ground?(This is especially good to know if you are standing at the firing location and do not want to get hit when the rocket comes back down.)
Please help!!!!! Sort of explain too. 10 points for who ever makes sense!

My rc nitro car randomly stalls on no particular power, does anyone know how to stop this?

My rc nitro 1/8 buggy stalls about three times every tank randomly and i do not know what is causing it. I am really confused as the engine does not stall at any particular throttle level. Any help would be great, thanks :)
Oh, and I don’t think the air bubbles are affecting it because there aren’t any visible ones and the car still stalls.

Where to find competitions for college level students?

Hi,

I’ve been trying to find a competition for our physics department and myself. Problem being is that most everything I find for “science”, “physics”, “engineering” competitions are events past and high school events. The event could be open to the public as we have no restriction to competing in a “college only” event.

I’ve been trying to find something along the simplier side as most of us do not have hundreds of hours to spend, but we could spare a few sleepless nights, weekends and time over the winter break to get the project to a finish.

Other important details:
-Competition should be physics or engineering oriented, we were throwing around the idea of trebuchet competition, but anything along the lines of bridges, rc controlled vehicles, planes, rockets, will do!
-Competition preferrable held in late Feb-early June
-We are located in eastern PA, and would like the drive and transportion not to be longer then say 5-6 hours if possible!

Mr. Alim’s science class launched a toy rocket from ground level with an initial upward velocity of 60 ft per second. The height ‘h’ of the rocket in feet above the ground after ‘t’ seconds is modeled by the equation h=60t-16t^2. How long was the rocket in the air before it returned to the ground?
