projectile motion physics and easy math question!!?

#1) The height of the projectile fired upward is given by the formula s=Vot-16t ^2, where s is the height and Vo is the initial velocity and t is time. Find time for a projectile to return to Earth if it has velocity of 200ft/s.

I know in this one, i solve for t, but distance would I use for s?

#2) . In Germany, there are no speed limits on some portions of highway. Others have a speed limit of 180 km/h (approximately 112 mph.) required to stop a car traveling at v kilometers per hour is d=0.019v^2+0.69v. Approximate to nearest tenth.

I don’t get this one at all!!

#3) A model rocket is launched with an intial velocity of 200ft/s. The height h, of the rocket t seconds after the launch is given by h= -16ft^+200t. How many seconds after launch will rocket be 300 ft above ground? Round nearest hundredth of a sec.

#4) A diver jumps from a platform that is 10 m high. The height of the diver t seconds after the beginning of the dive is given by h= -4.9t^2+3.2t +10.5.

Is it normal for a 15 year old to cry about petty insults, set RC cars on fire, etc….?

Some of you might remember I’ve posted about this guy before. He’s a fresshie’ in my math class and today he started crying because he didn’t know how to awnser a math question on the board! Then some kid on the bus said fresshies’ suck so he started crying there! He also follows me around and talks about bizzare things like seting things on fire and stealing trucks! Like today he was rambling on about how he sets his RC cars on fire and watches the batteries explode! And every time a construction worker drives a cart by (our school’s under reconstruction) he says he want’s to steal it! Is this common? I don’t know anyone else like this but do you?
(Also today he was sitting nxt to me and everytime he got up or down he touched my leg! I don’t think he’s gay, but I don’t know!)
By the way, do you know how I can get ride of him without hurting his fellings?
(Anything the SLIGHTEST bit rude will make him cry, so DON”T suggest that!)
Well, it’s not just batteries. He seems to alaways be talking about dowsing something in gasoline and igniting it! I don’t know if he auctually does everyhting he does, I get the impression that he just says he does it cause’ he thinks it will make him fit in more and fell tougher!

1. A theater sells children’s tickets for $4 and adult tickets for $7. One night 575 tickets worth $3575 were sold. How many adult tickets and children’s tickets were sold?

2. Students are chosen for a scholarship based on their scores on test of math and verbal achievement. A students qualifying score is found by doubling his verbal score and adding his math score. Grethcen’s math score was 54 points higher then her verbal score. Her score was 1782. Find her math and verbal scores.

3. Huey, Dewy, and Louie want model rockets so each one is saving their money. Huey says “I have 5 more $ then you, Louie.” Dewy says “I have twice as much as you do, Louie.” Louie says “Together we have $31. Thats enough to buy a rocket.” How much does each have?

A model rocket is launched from the deck in Jim’s backyard and the path followed by the rocket can be modeled by the relation

h=-5t^2 +100t +15,
where h, in metres, is the height that the model rocket reaches after t seconds.

What is the height of the deck?
What is the maximum height reached by the rocket?

Math question 10 points to the correct answer?

You launch a model rocket from ground level with an initial velocity of 95 feet per second. Use the model h= -16t^2 + vt + c, where h is height, v is initial velocity, t is time and c is initial height to find how many seconds it takes the rocket a height of 114 feet?

A model rocket is fired into the air off the top of a building. The following equation models this motion: h=-10t2+26t+12 where h is the height in meters above the ground and t is the time in seconds since the launch.

note:
The 2 next to the 10 is supposed to be a squared
a.How high is the building
b. How high will the rocket be after 2.5 seconds
c. When will the rocket reach a height of 12 meters
d. How long will it take for the rocket to hit the ground
e. How long will it take to reach its maximum height
f. What is the maximum height the rocket can go
