physical science math question help?

okay, so say i launched a toy rocket from ground level with an initial upward velocity of 60 fps. the hight ‘h’ of the rocket in feet above the ground after ‘t’ seconds is modeled by the equation; h=60t – 16(t squared). how long was the rocket in the air before it returned to the ground?

Math Question that doesnt make sense. Help?

Mark launched a model rocket with an initial speed of 180 ft per second. After how many seconds will mark;s rocket reach a height of 464 ft.
a. The folrmila h=rt-16t^2 gives the height of an object projected upward at a a rate of r feet per second after t seconds. Rewrite this equation substitituting the data you are given.
b. Solve the equation and answer the problem
c. After how many seconds will it be at that height again?

math question regarding quadratic problem. ?

a model rocket is shot straight into the air. its height in metres at t seconds is given by h= -4.9t(squared) + 29.4t. when does the rocket reach the ground.

please give me a step by step instructions on how to solve this problem.
using the quadratic formula

Math Question!!?

the problem is “there is a model of a train. the real train is 50.4 feet. the length of the model is 1/48 of the actual size. what is the size of the model train?”

i was wondering: do you just divide 50.4 feet by 48?

math question for full points?????/?

please help me i got a a test in math tommarow need to study these and i have no clue on how to start please show work so i can understand

a model rocket is launched from ground level. it height, h meters above the ground, is a function of time seconds after launch and is givin by the equation h=-4.9t^2+68.6t. what would be the maximum height, to the nearest meter, attained by the model??

quick 6th grade math question, easy points.?

change both measurements to the same unit of measure, and find the scale factor

1. 20cm model of a 28m rocket

2. 2ft model of a 30yd sports field

can u show your work because i don’t get how to do it.

math question please help???????

i have no clue how to do these porblem if you can show the steps thanksss

a model rocket is launced from ground level . its height, h meters above the ground , is a function of time t seconds after launch and is givin by the equation h=-4.9t^2+68.6t. what would be the maximum height, to the nearest meter , attained by the model???????
