Is it normal for a 15 year old to cry about petty insults, set RC cars on fire, etc….?
Some of you might remember I’ve posted about this guy before. He’s a fresshie’ in my math class and today he started crying because he didn’t know how to awnser a math question on the board! Then some kid on the bus said fresshies’ suck so he started crying there! He also follows me around and talks about bizzare things like seting things on fire and stealing trucks! Like today he was rambling on about how he sets his RC cars on fire and watches the batteries explode! And every time a construction worker drives a cart by (our school’s under reconstruction) he says he want’s to steal it! Is this common? I don’t know anyone else like this but do you?
(Also today he was sitting nxt to me and everytime he got up or down he touched my leg! I don’t think he’s gay, but I don’t know!)
By the way, do you know how I can get ride of him without hurting his fellings?
(Anything the SLIGHTEST bit rude will make him cry, so DON”T suggest that!)
Well, it’s not just batteries. He seems to alaways be talking about dowsing something in gasoline and igniting it! I don’t know if he auctually does everyhting he does, I get the impression that he just says he does it cause’ he thinks it will make him fit in more and fell tougher!

Can I use an 8.4v NiCad battery with an RC boat that came with an 7.2v Nicad>?
I recently purchased a very nice RC boat. One thing that I noticed about it is that it doesn’t hold a charge for very long. So, I thought I could remedy that issue if I had 2 batteries on hand. So here is my question: Could I use an 8.4 volt NiCad battery in a boat that came with a 7.2v NiCad, or is the voltage higher enough to fry the boat?
I realize that a battery with a higher rating would be more ideal, but I have to take the boat to the lake TODAY, and sadly, since it’s Independence Day, no stores are open that carry such batteries. I just happened to have a spare 8.4v laying around, so I was wondering if I could use that.
High school physics model rocket altitude calculation question …. can someone help!?
i’m hoping someone can help me. i’ve worked on this problem for 2 days and can’t seem to get the answer. i’m stuck and need some help.
i need to calculate the max altitude a model rocket will reach. the total rocket mass before it blasts off is 46g and the mass after it lands is 41g (since engine loses mass). it’s an Estes A8-3 engines that has a total impulse of 2.5 N seconds, an ave thrust of 7.7 N, and a time delay of 3 sec (# seconds between end of thrust phase and time the rocket will reach max altitude).
our teacher told us to ignore drag, air resistance, and wind. the only forces we’re to use are the engine thrust and gravity.
i know i need to use newton’s 2nd law (F=ma) but i’m not sure how to use it here. are there other formulas that i also need? i’m not sure what to do with the thrust, impulse, masses and times and how they fit into the 2nd law formula. i’m also not sure how to calculate the max height once i have the force.

i think there are 2 phases i need to work with and those are the initial phase when the rocket engine is burning and the coasting phase after the engine burns out while the rocket still continues to go up. i probably need to add those together to get the max height. i’m just not sure how to calculate either of those and could really use some help.

RC CAR question concerning scale size?
I know this probably sounds like a silly question but here goes….if an RC car is 1:43 scale, is it small like an XMod? Approximately what size is it? If it is 1:18 scale, that means it is larger, right? About what size? My son has a large Hummer and I want to get one like his so we can race. Thanks so much!!
Loaded Question about Cruise on Royal Carribbean.?
I am going on my first cruise next Thursday. I’m going on RC Enchantment of the Seas. Any suggestions on things to do in Cozumel or Key West?
Also, can anyone with RC experience tell me alcoholic drink pricing range? I hear the drinks are not strong and very pricey and that on certain bars on the boat they are some bars on the boat that charge more/less? Also I know RC does not allow you to bring anything on board but I would love to bring my own bottle of vodka but I am scared I will be kicked off. Does anyone have any real sure way suggestions for me to get a pint or half gallon on the ship and to my room?

What speaker config is better?
Okay my question is what is a better setting for speaker configure? (Small or Large) I know what this setting means, but how do you know if your speakers are considered large or small? What would be a better setting for my surround sound receiver? My surround sound system consists of all klipsch brand speakers. Front L&R I use Klipsch B2 bookshelf .Center RC-35, Rears RB-10, Subwoofer Sub-10. I use all monster cable for wiring them up. The receiver is a 630 watt Denon AVR-789. I now have everything set to large, but would it be better setting them to small or keeping it at large? Please get back to me. Thank You for your time.
