A street cat gave birth to 4 kittens at my house few months back. The mom cat took great care…trained them in food gathering and hunting…looked like a role model to all moms.
Last week the mom stopped coming home leaving the kittens to fend for themselves. Two vanished…one died…leaving only one..which was the most active among 4. But it looks like it is missing its sibblings or mom…wanting to be caressed by me all the time..sits in lap whem I am at the computer..It never used to even come close to me 2 days back.
It has not eaten anything since last 2 days.
Today the mom came back home…thought it would help the baby kitten instead mom showed aggressive behaviour seeing the kitten and quickly went away. It surprised me…I couldnt understand the reason. I expected it to be caring. Instead, it made some aggressive hisses and went away.
How could I make this little one eat? Thankfully it drank a little water some time back. Is this some sort of depression?
