Soldier’s, you don’t mind a little joke do ya?

The Differential Theory of US Armed Forces (Snake Model) upon
encountering a snake in the Area of Operations or A Diversified
Approach to Military Operations:

Infantry: Snake smells them, leaves area.

Airborne: Lands on and kills the snake.

Armor: Runs over snake, laughs, and looks for more snakes.

Aviation: Has Global Positioning Satellite coordinates to snake.
Can’t find snake. Returns to base for refuel, crew rest and manicures.

Ranger: Plays with snake, then eats it.

Field Artillery: Kills snake with massive Time On Target barrage with
three Forward Artillery Brigades in support. Kills several hundred
civilians as unavoidable collateral damage. Mission is considered a
success and all participants (i.e. cooks, mechanics and clerks) are
awarded Silver Stars.

Special Forces: Makes contact with snake, ignores all State
Department directives and Theater Commander Rules of Engagement by
building rapport with snake and winning its heart and mind. Trains it
to kill other snakes. Files enormous travel voucher upon return.

Combat Engineer: Studies snake. Prepares in-depth doctrinal thesis in
obscure 5-series Field Manual about how to defeat snake using
countermobility assets. Complains that maneuver forces don’t
understand how to properly conduct doctrinal counter-snake ops.

Navy SEAL: Expends all ammunition and calls for naval gunfire support
in failed attempt to kill snake. Snake bites SEAL and retreats to
safety. Hollywood makes fantasy film in which SEALs kill Muslim
extremist snakes.

Navy: Fires off 50 cruise missiles from various types of ships, kills
snake and makes presentation to Senate Appropriations Committee on
how Naval forces are the most cost-effective means of anti-snake
force projection.

Marine: Kills snake by accident while looking for souvenirs. Local
civilians demand removal of all US forces from Area of Operations.

Marine Recon: Follows snake, gets lost.

Combat Controllers: Guides snake elsewhere.

Para-Rescue Jumper: Wounds snake in initial encounter, then works
feverishly to save snake’s life.

Supply: (NOTICE: Your anti-snake equipment is on backorder.)

Transport pilot: Receives call for anti-snake equipment, delivers two
weeks after due date.

F-16 pilot: Finds snake, drops two CBU-87 cluster bombs, and misses
target due to weather.

AH-64 Apache pilot: Unable to locate snake, snakes don’t show well on
infra-red.

UH-60 Blackhawk pilot: Finds snake on fourth pass after snake starts
bonfire to mark Landing Zone. Rotor wash blows snake into the fire.

B-52 pilot: Pulls ARCLIGHT mission on snake, kills snake and every
other living thing within two miles of target.

Missile crew: Lays in target coordinates to snake in 20 seconds, but
can’t receive authorization from National Command Authority to use
nuclear weapons.

Intelligence officer: Snake? What snake? Only 4 of 35 indicators of
snake activity are currently active. We assess the potential for
snake activity as LOW.

Judge Advocate General (JAG): Snake declines to bite, citing grounds
of professional courtesy.

CH-47 Pilot: Slingleg breaks in flight while slingloading anti-snake
equiptment, pilot cuts slingload. Slingload lands on snake and kills
it. Crew chief uses dead snake to replace broken slingleg.

Navy Pilot: Draped snake around neck at Tail Hook to pick up chicks.

Military Police: Gave snake a sobriety test for not moving in a
straight line.

Signal: Broadcasts 200,000+ watt transmissions in support of anti-
snake missions, accidentally electrecuted snake in the process.

Corps of Engineers: Surveyed and researched area for plans on
improving flood plain, can’t do it because snake is on the endangered
species list.

Cooks: Snake sneaks in chow hall. Snake dies of food poisoning.
I hope to make you smile. Love you all! God Bless Ya!
I got the joke from my very good friend who is a Major is the Marines. I love it that she can laugh at herself!

Neo-liberalism is the practice of Neo -conservatism, why do few Republicans know this?

Presently, I am reading Noam Chomsky’s book Profit Over People Neoliberalism and the Global Order which is a critique of our political and economic system. While I first heard the term neoliberalism more than a decade ago on short-wave radio, the term is not heard often in the mainstream media even today. It is as if this word, containing the middle string of characters, “liberal”, is to be shunned and shied away from by those who profusely profess neoliberalism. Yet, the perpetrators of prejudice toward the word liberal have become their own victims to this latest name calling since they themselves are the neoliberals. It is the conservative US Capitalists who have trained the country to denigrate the L-world thereby having to distance themselves from the word itself. And who said that words are not powerful remakers and reshapers of the world we see or want to be seen?

Neoliberalism is the process by which the free enterprise system and its “democracy” are touted around the world as the only successful model for the world to emulate, while ignoring its enormous failures domestically and internation-ally. The “free market” philosophy is professed to be the only viable economic system on the planet yet those professing it are beneficiaries of anything but the free market. They receive incredible tax breaks and perks subsidized by the people struggling to make a decent living. “Free enterprise” institutions are excellent examples of non-democratic power structuring. Conservatives for the most part are neoliberals benefiting the most from government subsidies to corporations through moneys collected from the poorest in society and diverted upward to the top.
Is this why so few Republicans here can offer a serious debate? If you lack understanding of what your ideaology is, how in the hell can you debate it?
Patrick for those of us who know political science, the terms are relatively fixed, known and absolute.
I hope you first three aren’t the best the Republicans have to offer on this site.
Here another writter, that may help you guys,
Elizabeth Martinez and Arnoldo García in “What is Neo-Liberalism” writes,

Neo-liberalism is a set of economic policies that have become widespread during the last 25 years or so. Although the word is rarely heard in the United States, you can clearly see the effects of neo-liberalism here as the rich grow richer and the poor grow poorer….Around the world, neo-liberalism has been imposed by powerful financial institutions like the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank….the capitalist crisis over the last 25 years, with its shrinking profit rates, inspired the corporate elite to revive economic liberalism. That’s what makes it ‘neo’ or new.

Do you know why so many other countries see the US as The Real Terrorists?

Heres just one example.
Afghanistan and the “Green Belt”
The US National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski under President Carter developed the concept of the Green-belt theory which involved a plan to use Saudi Arabian money and CIA logistical support to train and arm Islamic radicals within the Soviet Union and in neighboring countries like Afghanistan and Pakistan as part of Operation Cyclone. These CIA-supported Islamic extremists fought against the Soviet Union in its Afghanistan war, and spurred a similar Muslim-world program which attracted Osama bin Laden to Afghanistan. According to Robert Dreyfus, the CIA also provided training and money to the Chechans during the Cold War to use them as guerrilla fighters in case of a Soviet invasion of Europe. This concept was modeled on Operation Gladio which involved training paramilitary organizations in Europe to serve as guerrilla units in case of a Soviet invasion.
Once the Soviet Union dissolved, these Chechen terrorists were to destabilize and weaken the post-Soviet Russia.

“ Everybody’s worried about stopping terrorism. Well, there’s a really easy way: stop participating in it. –Noam Chomsky ”
This is just One example among many that we know of. It’s hard to say how many we don’t know about.

How is Iran doing anything wrong by suppling arms to Terrorists?

Is the US and the CIA the real terrorists?

Is USA government stupid or is it US citizens kept in dark as usual?

Pakistan is the country which created, trained, nurtured Al qaeda and taliban, Osama laden is pakistanis role model and everyone in the whole world including British , NATO, CIA agencied know that pakistan is providing shelter to Laden and Talibans but still US government wants Pakistan to work against their creation, I think US gov is stupid the surprising thing is US citizens are kept in the dark and they think pakis will help US against their Al qaeda men.
This is classic example of US gov and its citizens stupidity. LOL
